We are a specialist market access agency that works with small to medium sized BioPharma companies wishing to launch in the UK and Europe, giving them the best chance of reaching patients sooner. We specialise in rare and orphan diseases, cell and gene therapies and oncology, and thrive on overcoming the most challenging access issue.


We provide end to end holistic support with a cross-functional approach of which the Policy and Public Affairs team are an integral part.


Up to £70,000 FTE (based on experience)

Bonus + Private Medical Insurance + EMI Share Scheme

Work from Home (UK), with occasional office visit


You will support MAP’s Policy and Public Affairs team by managing and lead a range of clients with a focus on delivering successful campaigns and projects, including policy monitoring, consultation and policy writing, event planning, client liaison, project management and stakeholder mapping. All engagement has the objective to support clients in shaping and influencing the access and uptake policy environment to accelerate patient access for their medicines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Leadership and Delivery:

Working directly on projects to provide expert strategic and policy oversight, and strategic input and direction to a range of HTA submission, market access and pricing projects, leading on the more complex projects / challenges and guiding / supporting juniors involved in leading simpler project activity.

  • Team Performance:

Ensuring that the Policy and Public Affairs team are running projects both efficiently and effectively. Delivering projects to the standards of professional and technical excellence that we pride ourselves on within the business; this will involve you in providing mentorship and oversight of the team on occasion and the effective use of our existing project management online systems.

  • Team Development:

Working with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs to ensuring the Policy and Public Affairs team size has the right blend of experience and project seniority as it grows and develops.


You will be expected to:

  • Deliver diverse policy, public affairs and communications programmes across the UK, Ireland and the EU, including attending and supporting meetings between clients and stakeholders
  • Play an important role in delivering outstanding client work on multiple accounts including supporting clients with strategic advice and recommendations to leverage the policy environment and mitigate risks to accelerate patient access
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients and build strong relationships with them
  • A good understanding of the political, policy and media environments, whilst also wanting to interact with clients, senior stakeholders and industry contacts
  • Deliver a wide range of client documents, including policy audits, campaign proposals, press releases and strategy documents
  • Project management skills and an active interest or participation within party politics
  • Ability to review, edit and support junior members of the team
  • actively participate in internal meetings across the policy, public affairs team and wider business to support MAP’s mission and demonstrate the importance of policy and public affairs activities in market access strategy and launch planning
  • effectively manage projects and ensure high-quality deliverables are completed in a timely fashion, working together with senior and junior team members across MAP’s integrated consultancy team
